Johan is a litigation specialist based in Randpark in the West of Johannesburg . 

He graduated cum laude from the University of the Freestate with a P.Proc LLB in 1994 and was admitted to the South African Bar in 1995 as well as the Lesotho Bar in 2002. Upon returning to South Africa in 2010, he was admitted as an Attorney in the North Gauteng Division. 

In addition to graduating cum laude Johan has earned many accolades including: 

• The Moritz Bobbert Trophy for the top candidate at the Legal Education and Development School for Legal Practice in 2005 having achieved the top mark in Magistrates Court Practice, Legal Costs, Business Entities, Constitutional Law, Labour Law, High Court Practice, Commercial Litigation, Commercial Agreements, Practice Management, and Legal Accounting 
• The top mark in the both the National Litigation Competition (99%) and National Commercial Competition (99%) in 2005

Johan practiced as an associate at Webber Attorneys from 2006 and in 2010, joined Nelson Borman and Partners Incorporated as a Director heading up commercial litigation before migrating to Taiwan in 2015 where he joined Innomiles International as Director and legal advisor. 

Upon his return to South Africa in 2023, Johan took a liking to the Linklawyer model and has been appointed to the panel as inhouse counsel to further augment a formidable multidisciplinary legal team. 

Johan has in addition been appointed to be on the arbitration panel of ADR Access in commercial and labour law disputes. 

Beyond the legal realm, Johan is a husband and father of two, has a passion for health and fitness, and enjoys playing golf, music, playing the guitar. Other hobbies include radio-controlled aeroplanes and K9 training.
